Get ready for the RVCC C.C.C., coming Saturday, May 13, 2 – 7 pm, with the crib tournament starting at 2, the chilli tasting starting at 5 pm, and the silent auction running throughout.
You ask – what does the “C.C.C.” stand for? Well, the first “C” stands for “Cribbage Tournament,” the second “C” stands for “Chili cook-off” (the RVCC prez says that his chilli is unbeatable!), the third “C” stands for the “Crafts and Arts” raffle to support the club. Make an amazing craft or piece of art and bring it to the club to be auctioned, Manitoba social style.
The “Crafts and Arts” can include woodworking, knitting, sewing, photographs, recorded music, paintings, drawings, an epic Minecraft world, an interpretative dance performance, WHATEVER! For example, Jaxon, the creator of the Reflector’s “Another Day in Riverview” has confirmed that he will be donating something for the raffle!
Register for the cribbage tournament as a team of two or as an individual to be paired up with someone else. Registration for the crib tournament is $30 per team and $15 for individuals, and are open till Friday, May 12th. All ages are welcome, as long as players have experience, and are able to play for several hours at a time.
If you have any questions or would like to donate something you’ve made for the raffle, send us an email at gm@riverviewc.ca
