We hope that this note finds you all safe and healthy in this uncertain time.
Saturday morning, the City of Winnipeg issued a statement that all City owned & operated facilities are to close indefinitely as of March 16. While the RVCC is a City owned facility, it is managed by the volunteer board of directors appointed by the Riverview Community and therefore, this directive does not apply to us.
However, in consultation with the board and the community centre staff, the decision has been made to also close the RVCC indefinitely.
This is in part on the strong recommendation from the General Council of Winnipeg Community Centres that community clubs close and also on the public health advice that social distancing is important to preventing the spread of the virus.
