As some of you may have heard already, Churchill Drive is set to become an active transportation route on May 5.
The route will be in effect from where Churchill Drive meets Jubilee all the way to Hay St at Churchill High/College Churchill.
It is a temporary route and will be in place until May 29 pending an extension due to the Covid-19 response.
What is an Active Transportation Route?
An active transportation route LIMITS vehicle traffic to one block only. The route is NOT closed to vehicles so foot traffic and cyclists are reminded to use caution when travelling along Churchill Drive.
This move is made in an effort to help pedestrians maintain social distancing at a time when non-vehicle traffic has increased.
