Parkrun, The global running phenomenon has returned to Riverview.
Parkrun is a free, weekly 5 kilometre timed running event that started in the United Kingdom in 2004. From very humble beginnings Parkrun has grown to over 1400 runs held in 23 countries every Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. Winnipeg’s Parkrun is held on the Churchill Parkway all year long. After a 17 month shut down Parkrun is back and runners have been meeting every Saturday morning since October 16th.
Parkrun is volunteer driven and free to all participants. If you aren’t interested in running help out as a volunteer or encourage the runners you know to participate.
