Here’s Your Weekly Update About the RVCC

With the Province of Manitoba starting to ease some restrictions, we thought it would be a good time to provide some updates about what’s happening here at the RVCC:

  • The RVCC remains closed to the public. No update yet on when we may reopen.
  • As of May 5, the City has reopened the playground. Please be mindful that social distancing measures are still in effect. Also keep in mind that since the RVCC is closed, there is no bathroom access available at this time.
  • An update about the tennis courts and basketball court will be coming soon but for now they remain closed.
  • Churchill Drive will be an active transportation route from May 5-29. For more information click HERE
  • The 2020 Mini Soccer season has been cancelled. Parents were notified by email. No further updates have been received from Youth Soccer, Baseball and Softball.
  • The RVCC Board had a virtual meeting on April 27 and will continue work on a plan to reopen the club when it is safe to do so.

Neighbourhood Clean Up Contest

With the weather finally getting nicer and with more and more people spending time outside, we thought it would be a good time to tidy up outside!

Whether you’re cleaning up your yard, the boulevards or the park spaces, we want to see how you’re keeping Riverview clean!

Here’s how to enter:

  1. Follow us on Instagram @riverviewcc
  2. Send us a picture of you cleaning up the great outdoors. You can either post a picture or add to your story on Instagram (Make sure to tag @riverviewcc) or you can email your entry to gm@riverviewcc.ca

Some things to note:

  • Entries received will be featured on the @riverviewcc story unless you indicate you don’t want your picture shared.
  • If you are cleaning a public space, please remember your social distancing and be safe.
  • All entries must be received by Monday May 11. A winner will be randomly drawn and will win a Riverview CC tshirt!
